SOME TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS:
- Encourage precision and carefulness
- Take pride in the final product
- Using pencils rather than thick felt pens improves hand-eye coordination and fine-motor skills
- For older children and adults, experiment with watercolours
- Encourage experimentation with gradients (see image above)
- For gradients, experiment with a sharp HB pencil
- Listen to calming music while colouring
- Eliminate as much background noise as possible
HOW COLOURING IN AND OTHER LIKE ACTIVITIES WILL INCREASE PRODUCTIVITY
If sedentary office workers took an activity break for only ten minutes mid-morning and mid-afternoon, their productivity would improve significantly, more than enough to make up for the work time lost. Worker's brains would be refreshed, resulting in improved mental acuity, concentration and enhanced problem-solving ability.
